The USF women's tennis team won swept doubles play and won five of six singles matches to roll past Gonzaga 6-1 Sunday morning at Golden Gate Park.
The teams of Camille Pamart/Mylene Martin won 8-7, Jenny Sperry/Emma Taylor 8-6 in the clinching match and Valarie Meise/Joana Macedo won 8-2 to get USF to a good start.
Pamart defeated GU's Emily Anderson 6-4, 5-7, 10-7 at number one and Emma Taylor won 6-2, 6-4 at number two, but by then the Dons had clinched with wins at the three, five and six slots.
USF improved to 2-3 on the season.
"Our depth made the difference tonight," said coach Hilary Somers. "The easy wins at three, five and six secured the win.
