Shorthanded Dons Battle But Fall To Broncos, 4-3

The USF Dons, playing without two of their top players battled, paced by singles wins by Camille Pamart, Mylene Martin and Sarah Oudomvilay but lost a tight match 4-3 at Santa Clara Friday afternoon.

USF started off by losing two of the three doubles matches by 8-6 scores and that eventually cost USF the match.

The Dons' Pamart won 6-2, 6-1 at number one singles, Martin won 6-4, 6-3 at number two and Oudomvilay won 6-1, 1-6, 6-3.

But USF fell at four five and six, with two of the matches going three sets.

The Dons are in action Saturday at 1:00 p.m. when they host UC Santa Barbara at Golden Gate Park.
