No. 21 Women's Tennis Falls to No. 2 USC 6-1 on Wednesday

Malibu, Calif. - The No. 21 Pepperdine women's tennis team suffered its first loss of the season after falling to No. 2 USC 6-1 on Wednesday afternoon at Marks Stadium. The Waves dropped to 8-1 on the season, while the Trojans improved to 8-1.

USC won the doubles point after taking wins at the No. 1 and No. 3 positions. No. 20 Bianca Dulgheru and Eva Dickes won their doubles match over Carine Vermeulen and Dianne Matias 8-3.

In singles, No. 26 Dulgheru was the only Wave to defeat her opponent, picking up her seventh win of the season after beating Lindsey Nelson 6-1, 6-1.

The Waves continue action on the road when they travel to Florida to face South Florida on Saturday, March 4 and No. 10 Miami on Sunday, March 5 at 1:30 p.m.
