No. 21 Women's Tennis Hand No. 47 South Florida a 5-2 Defeat

Malibu, Calif. - The No. 21 Pepperdine women's tennis team defeated No. 47 South Florida 5-2 over the weekend on the campus of Florida Gulf Coast University in Ft. Myers, Fla. With the win, the Waves moved to 9-1 on the season, while the Bulls dropped to 5-2 on the season.

In doubles, the Wave duo of No. 44 Merve Asimgil and Sylvia Kosakowski knocked out No. 12 Neyssa Etienne and Gabrielle Duch 9-7 on court one, while No. 20 Eva Dickes and Bianca Dulgheru handed Liz Cruz and Iciri Rai a 9-7 defeat to get the doubles point.

In singles, No. 26 Dulgheru put away No. 53 Etienne 6-2, 7-5 at position one, while senior Natalie Braverman easily defeated No. 69 Cruz 6-1, 6-3 at position three. Dickes and Asimgil also picked up wins for the Waves.
