USF Women's Tennis Downs Idaho 5-1

(San Francisco) - USF women's tennis played a strong match against Idaho Thursday afternoon at Golden Gate Park and secured a 5-1 non-conference victory. The doubles point was not played and the Dons (7-4) secured wins at every singles spot except No. 2.

San Francisco was particularly dominant in the bottom half of singles and dropped just eight sets to Idaho. USF No. 1 Camille Pamart won a marathon against Mariel Tinnirello, 6-4, 3-6, 7-5, while Joana Macedo also was challenged at No. 3 before securing a 6-0, 2-6, 7-6 (12-10) victory against Efrat Leopold.

USF returns to action Saturday March 18 against West Coast Conference rival Portland. The Dons will take on the Pilots in Moraga on the campus of Saint Mary's.
