Bulldogs Win Doubles Point

SPOKANE, Wash. - The Gonzaga University women's tennis team had a tough battle on Sunday when they faced Lewis and Clark State at the Martin Tennis Courts. LCSC only defeated the Bulldogs by one.

Sydney Lederhouse and Courtney Lau both won their singles matches. Lederhouse played in the No. 2 position defeating Jamie Chan 2-6, 6-1, 6-2. Courtney Lau was in the No. 5 singles position, where she beat LCSC's Carla Jones 6-2, 6-1.

The Bulldogs won two out of the three doubles matches to take the doubles point. In the No. 1 position was Erin Humphrey and Sydney Lederhouse, they defeated Maria Resende and Alyson Peck 8-0. Katie Colton and Courtney Lau in the No. 2 doubles spot defeated Jamie Chan and Rachel Moorhead.

The Bulldogs will travel to Boise on Friday where they will face Boise State at 11:00 a.m.
