Women's Tennis Sweeps Santa Clara

Moraga, CA - The Saint Mary's women's tennis team improved to 5-0 at the Korth Tennis Complex with a 7-0 sweep of visiting Santa Clara on Saturday afternoon on the Saint Mary's campus. With the win the Gaels also improve to 9-7 on the year.

The Gaels won the doubles point by sweeping all three matches. Aude Lambert and Jessica Hoath won 8-6, Feline Charlot and Kate Harden won 8-5 and Stef Ordoveza and Erin Young won 8-1.

In singles action Hoath, Harden, Young, Ordoveza and Kristin Kummer all won in straight sets.

Saint Mary's won 7-0 for the second time in a row, after sweeping San Jose State on Thursday.

The Gaels return to action on Sunday, April 9 when they face San Francisco at 11 a.m. in San Francisco.
