CHENEY, Wash. - The Gonzaga University women's tennis team started out strong as they clinched the doubles point against Eastern Washington on Tuesday afternoon at the EWU Tennis Courts. The Eagles came out on top with a 6-1 victory over the Bulldogs.
Erin Humphrey and Sydney Lederhouse, playing in the No. 1 doubles position, defeated Kasey Knox and Rachel Berger 8-1. In the No. 3 doubles spot was Courtney Lau and Katie Colton. Lau and Colton defeated Marie Carroll and Jennifer Jolley 8-5.
The Bulldogs will return home on Tuesday to face Eastern Washington once again at 4:00 p.m. The Bulldogs will then head off to Santa Clara to compete in the West Coast Conference Tournament.
