Women's Tennis Match Called Due to Rain

Fresno, CA - The Saint Mary's women's tennis team was rained out today as they were set to compete against the Fresno State Bulldogs. Head coach Lisa Alipaz announced earlier today that the match would not be held due to weather conditions. The Gaels will not make up this match as they are set to compete in the West Coast Conference Championships next weekend from Malibu, CA.

"We tried to get today's match in" said head coach Lisa Alipaz. "It would have been as good competition." The Gaels entered the match with a No. 58 national ranking while the Bulldogs were ranked No. 12. Unfortunately, the rain was too much and today's match had to be cancelled.

The Gaels finish the regular season with a 15-3 overall record. The Saint Mary's women's tennis team finishes the regular season with the best overall record in program history.

The Gaels will return to action next weekend when they compete in the WCC Championships.
