Women's Tennis Falls To San Francisco

Malibu, Calif. - - The eighth-seeded Gonzaga University women's tennis team fell to fourth-seeded University of San Francisco 4-0 Saturday during the second day of the West Coast Conference Championship held in Malibu, Calif.

Gonzaga drops to 4-17 for the season, while the Dons improve to 11-10.

San Francisco earned the early doubles point, taking all three matches from Gonzaga.

The Bulldogs were unable to rebound in singles, dropping three singles matches in straight sets. Once the winner of the match is determined, the remaining matches are not finished. Thus, the reason that No. 1, 2 and 6 singles matches were not finished.

The Zags will now face the University of Portland in the seventh place match on Sunday. Match time is scheduled for Noon in Malibu.
