Anderson And Humphrey Win Singles Matches

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - The Gonzaga University women's tennis team started out strong wining their first two singles matches. Then the Broncos took the next three singles matches and won two out of the three doubles to clinch the win.

Emily Anderson played in the No. 1 singles spot defeating Casey Knutson in two sets 6-3, 6-4. In the No. 2 position was Erin Humphrey. Humphrey defeated Stephanie Galainena 6-1, 2-6, 7-6.

In doubles action, Courtney Lau and Kendall Bates played in the No. 3 position where they defeated Erika Barns and Stephanie Herrmann 8-6.

The Bulldogs end their 2006 season 2-23.
