Waves Host Fresno State on Saturday
The No. 13 Pepperdine women's tennis team returns to Malibu to host 24th-ranked Fresno State on Saturday in an 11 a.m. match at the Ralphs-Straus Tennis Center. The Waves improved their record to 4-2 after going 2-1 at the ITA National Team Indoor Championships last weekend.

Pepperdine appeared in its 14th ITA Indoor Championships last week and despite falling to eventual champion Georgia Tech in the first round, the Waves posted two wins in consolation. Down 3-1, the Waves came from behind to edge 15th-ranked TCU, 4-3, with junior Sylvia Kosakowski clinching the match at No. 2 singles. Pepperdine followed by blanking host Wisconsin, 6-0, to improve their overall record at the Championships to 22-20.
About the Bulldogs
The Bulldogs' first two matches of the season were postponed due to rain, but Fresno State finally got its season started on Jan. 28 with a 6-1 win over Nevada. The Bulldogs fell, 4-3, to No. 24 Arizona State, but rebounded with a 4-3 win over Arizona. Fresno State will take on No. 15 UCLA on Friday before facing the Waves the following day. Pepperdine holds a 9-2 advantage over Fresno State and defeated the Bulldogs last year 5-2 in Malibu.
Pepperdine traveled to Madison, Wis. to participate at the ITA National Team Indoor Championships last week. The Waves fell, 7-0, to Georgia Tech in the first round, but rebounded with wins over TCU and Wisconsin.
Pepperdine faces West Coast Conference rival Loyola Marymount on Fri., Feb. 16 in a 1:30 p.m. match in Los Angeles.
