No. 21 Women's Tennis Travels to No. 2 USC on Wednesday

Malibu, Calif. - The No. 21 Pepperdine women's tennis team continues action on the road when it faces local rival No. 2 USC on Wednesday, March 01 at Marks Stadium in a 1:30 p.m. match. The Waves, who are undefeated at 8-0 on the season, face their first opponent in the Top 10.

The Trojans (7-1) recorded wins over No. 17 Arizona State and No. 45 Arizona over the weekend to move to a No. 2 ranking. USC boasts four players in the rankings with freshman Amanda Fink leading the Trojans with a No. 1 ranking, while Dianne Matias is No. 23, Luana Magnani is No. 48 and Lindsey Nelson rounds out the rankings at No. 90.

USC leads the all-times series 31-12 over the Waves, with the Trojans winning the past seven matches. In 2005, Pepperdine dropped a 7-0 match to USC.

Sophomore Bianca Dulgheru remains Pepperdine's top-ranked player at No. 26, while the doubles teams of Dulgheru and Eva Dickes and Sylvia Kosakowski and Merve Asimgil are ranked at No. 20 and No. 44, respectively.
