No. 17 Women's Tennis Hosts No. 63 Penn on Friday

Malibu, Calif. - After going 2-2 on the road, the No. 17 Pepperdine women's tennis team returns home to face No. 63 Penn on Friday, March 10 at the Ralphs-Straus Tennis Center in Malibu, Calif. Action kicks off at 11 a.m. The Waves are 9-2 on the season while the Quakers hold a record of 5-3.

In their last four road matches of the regular season, the Waves posted wins over San Diego and South Florida, but fell to No. 2 USC and No. 10 Miami. Penn is coming off of a 4-3 upset over No. 30 Arizona.

The Waves meet the Quakers for the second time in program history. The teams met in 2003 when Penn defeated Pepperdine 5-2.

Pepperdine boasts three nationally-ranked players in singles and two nationally-ranked doubles teams. Sophomore Bianca Dulgheru is ranked 34th, while fellow sophomore teammate Sylvia Kosakowski is ranked at 93rd. Senior Natalie Braverman, who defeated two nationally-ranked players in the last two matches, rounds out the list with a No. 125 ranking.

In doubles, Eva Dickes and Dulgheru are 10-1 on the season and hold a No. 17 ranking, while Merve Asimgil and Kosakowski check in at No. 34.
