LMU, Santa Clara To Reschedule Saturday's WCC Opener

Los Angeles, Calif. - Loyola Marymount and Santa Clara will reschedule their Saturday West Coast Conference opener due to forecasted rain in the Los Angeles area. The LMU alumnae activities scheduled for Saturday are also postponed.

The 60th-ranked Lions had plannned to host their alumnae for festivities Saturday as part of the celebration of the 30th season of women's tennis at LMU. The match scheduled for 10:00 a.m. was to be LMU's WCC opener.

The Lions and Broncos have not yet announced a date for the rescheduled match.

In the meantime, LMU will host East Tennessee State Friday at the Manhattan Beach Country Club, as Head Coach Jamie Sanchez looks for his 400th career victory. His career record in 32 seasons currently stands at 399-354. Friday's match is set to begin at noon.
