SAN BRUNO, Calif. - The West Coast Conference announces its women's tennis weekly honors for singles and doubles competition for March 13, 2014.

WOMEN'S TENNIS SINGLES PLAYER OF THE WEEK
SAVANNAH WARE, FR., BYU
In her first season of collegiate tennis, Savannah Ware has been solid in her contribution to BYU's 4-4 start. The freshman has posted a 12-6 record with a 6-2 mark in dual match play. Last week at the sixth singles slot, Ware downed Nevada's Juliette Legendre 6-1, 6-0 as BYU won 5-2. She followed that win up with a match-clinching victory over Brooke Irish of San Francisco as the Cougars won 4-3. The freshman split the first two sets, 6-4, 0-6, before coming back from 2-5 to win 7-5 in the third. This was the second time this season Ware has clinched a 4-3 win.

Junior Lorraine Guillermo teamed up with freshman Apichaya Runglerdkriangkrai for the first time this dual season vs. Fresno State last Saturday. After the Bulldogs and Waves split the matches at No. 2 and No. 3, the doubles point rested on the outcome of Guillermo and Runglerdkriangkrai's match at No. 1. Despite little experience playing with one another, Guillermo and Runglerdkriangkrai came through and the clutch and rallied for an 8-6 win over Fresno State's top pair of Aishwarya Agrawal and Sofya Malysheva. It was Pepperdine's first win at the No. 1 position this dual season. Guillermo and Runglerdkriangkrai are 3-1 overall in 2013-14.
