USF Women's Tennis Takes On WCC Rival Santa Clara Sunday In Golden Gate Park

March 29, 2007

The USF women's tennis team will have one of their biggest matches of the season this Sunday when they face off against WCC rival Santa Clara at 11 a.m. in Golden Gate Park.

The Dons have won five of their last six matches, including a 4-3 victory over Portland last Sunday. In a match on Feb. 23, USF fell to Santa Clara 4-3 although the Dons were playing without two of their top players. This time around the squad will be at full strength and will be playing to determine their seeding at the upcoming WCC Championships.

"We are neck and neck with the Broncos," said head coach Hilary Somers. "We are looking forward to a competitive match."
