SAN BRUNO, Calif. --- West Coast Conference women's tennis teams are just two weeks away from the WCC Tennis Championships, Presented by the Andre Agassi Foundation for Education, in San Diego, Calif. Pepperdine remains the only team to go undefeated in this year's conference round robin schedule.

QUICK HITS

  • Two WCC teams are ranked in the national rankings with Pepperdine at No. 35 and Saint Mary's at No. 39.

  • Pepperdine is the only undefeated women's team in conference play. The Waves are now 5-0 with its most recent victories coming against Saint Mary's, 5-2, and San Diego, 7-0.

  • Saint Mary's is 5-1 against conference opponents after sweeping Gonzaga and Portland, edging out BYU in a close 4-3 match, and defeating LMU, 6-1. The Gaels' lone loss was at Pepperdine where the Gaels were only able to secure the doubles point and No. 4 singles match.

  • San Diego is 4-1 in WCC play. The Toreros' most recent win came against LMU in a 6-1 match. Senior Juliette Coupez clinched the fourth point for the Toreros with a 6-1, 6-4 showing at the No. 1 singles spot.

  • BYU and Santa Clara are both at .500, going 3-3 and 2-2 in conference contests, respectively. Head to head, Santa Clara defeated BYU in Provo in a close 4-3 match. BYU has yet to play LMU and Pepperdine, while Santa Clara still has four matches remaining---USD, Saint Mary's, Gonzaga and Portland---before the season ends.

  • The WCC Tennis Championships, presented by the Andre Agassi Foundation for Education, will take place at the Barnes Tennis Center on April 25-28. Teams will host the WCC Youth Tennis Festival on the practice day, April 24 from 4:30-5:30 PM, which will serve youth programs in the San Diego community.
