WCC Women's Tennis Announces Weekly Honors

April 22, 2014

SAN BRUNO, Calif. - The West Coast Conference announces its women's tennis weekly honors for singles and doubles competition for April 22, 2014.

WOMEN'S TENNIS SINGLES PLAYER OF THE WEEK
JENNY JULLIEN, SR., SAINT MARY'S
Jenny Jullien celebrated her final match at Korth Tennis Complex with a Top 30 showdown against a longtime rival, Santa Clara's Katie Le. After falling behind early, No. 12-ranked Jullien rallied to win the first set 7-5 before No. 27 Le rebounded to take the second 6-4. In the third, Jullien left no doubt, running down balls seemingly out of her reach and making shot after shot to beat Le 6-2 and claim the match.

The win closed out perhaps the greatest season in Saint Mary's tennis history as Jullien finished the regular season with a 25-6 overall record and 14-2 record in dual matches. Monday, Jullien was named WCC Player of the Year for the second straight season.
