For the second straight day, the Saint Mary's turned a strong start in doubles into a lopsided victory as the Gaels rolled to a 4-0 win over San Francisco in quarterfinal action. The win means the No. 3 seeded Gaels move on to Friday's semifinal round against No. 2 BYU at 12:30 p.m.

Saint Mary's (14-7) got Wednesday's win over Pacific started with a strong doubles session and Thursday's match against No. 6 San Francisco (16-8) followed the same script. Danielle Flores andJade Frampton were strong at No. 2 yet again, improving to 7-1 as a team this season with an 8-2 win over Sofia Holmberg and Thyra Taune.

Catherine Leduc and Jamie Pawid rolled to their second win in as many days to clinch the point, defeating Milica Hadzi-Tanovic and Brooke Irish 8-3 at No. 3. The Dons held the lead at No. 1 but that match was stopped when Leduc and Pawid finished their match. In singles, Frampton kept the momentum rolling with a dominant performance at No. 5. Her 6-1, 6-0 win over Hadzi-Tanovic made the score 2-0 in favor of the Gaels, and that advantage moved to 3-0 when Jullien, the No. 9-ranked player in the country, finished off a 6-0, 6-2 win over Andrea Ka at No. 1.
