SAN BRUNO, Calif. - The West Coast Conference announced its 2014-15 Women's Tennis All-Academic Team. The list recognizes 28 student-athletes of which 12 are named to the All-Academic squad, while 16 receive Honorable Mention nod. Seven student-athletes making back-to-back appearance a year ago headline the field. Combined, Santa Clara led the way with five student-athletes, followed by Pacific, Portland, and San Francisco (4), Gonzaga and Loyola Marymount (3), Pepperdine and San Diego (2), and Saint Mary's (1).
Multi-year recipients for academic achievements include, seniors Kylie Peek, Gonzaga and Milica Hadzi-Tanovic, San Francisco, juniors Melanie Yates, Gonzaga, Kristine Kouyoumjian, Loyola Marymount, Saroop Dhatt, Portland, Marta Stojanovic, San Diego, and Delphine Rouvillois, Santa Clara. Kouyoumjian has earned a 4.00 for the second straight academic year.
At the conclusion of each athletic season, the WCC selects an all-academic squad for each WCC- sponsored sport. To be considered, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average, while also being a significant contributor to her team.
