SAN BRUNO, Calif. - Senior Emma Murphy earned a spot on the All-West Coast Conference First Team for her outstanding play in singles at the No. 1 spot. This marks the fourth year in a row that Murphy has appeared on the All-WCC team. Murphy, a two-time WCC Player of the Year, finished the regular season ranked 42nd nationally with an overall record of 13-2. Most notably, she owns victories over top-ranked opponents from Washington, Pepperdine, and Fresno State.
Senior teammate Jenny Brown was named to the All-WCC Second Team for the first time in her career as a Torero. Since arriving at USD, Brown has twice been named an All-WCC Honorable Mention in doubles with former teammate Lauren Kazarian. Brown currently owns a 10-5 overall record, having seen most playing time at the No. 2 spot.
The 37th-ranked duo of Lauren Perl and Emma Murphy earned All-WCC Doubles First Team honors for the second straight year. The pair finished the regular season with a 9-4 overall record, with their most noteworthy victory coming against then-5th ranked USC.
Behind the play of the Torero seniors, San Diego placed third in this year's WCC Championships with an overall record of 11-7.
