Stanford, Calif. - Pepperdine's top two doubles teams were eliminated in the first round from the NCAA Doubles Championships at Stanford University. The Wave duo of Sylvia Kosakowski and Merve Asimgil fell to Gabriela Duch and Neyssa Etienne of South Florida, 7-6(4), 6-1, while Bianca Dulgheru and Eva Dickes were defeated by Kristi Miller and Lyndsay Shosho of Georgia Tech 6-4, 6-4.
Asimgil and Kosakowski finished with an 11-11 record playing at the No. 1 position, while Dickes and Dulgheru compiled a 19-3 overall record at the No. 2 singles position.
The Waves concluded their season with a 21-4 record and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Championships.
