Five Pepperdine Student-Athletes Named to Spring All-Academic Teams

Six Pepperdine student-athletes were named to the West Coast Conference's (WCC) 2007 Spring All-Academic Team that was announced by the conference office on Tuesday. The women's tennis team had three players selected while women's golf had two and men's tennis one.

Seniors Eva Dickes and Caroline Raba along with junior Bianca Dulgheru represented the Pepperdine women's tennis team while junior Stephanie Gelleni and sophomore Nicole Montgomery were named from women's golf. Senior men's tennis player Richard Johnson was selected to the men's tennis team.

Dickes, who is working on her MBA, accumulated a 3.56 GPA while Dulgheru holds a 3.23 GPA in business and Raba has a 3.29 GPA in international business.

Gelleni is in an organizational communications major and has a 3.26 GPA while Montgomery has a 3.45 GPA in international business.

Johnson, who was named WCC's Male Scholar Athlete of the Year, accumulated a 3.74 GPA in biology.
