Kosakowski Falls in Qualifying Singles at Riviera/ITA All-America Championships

Malibu, Calif. - Pepperdine's Sylvia Kosakowski competed in the 64-player qualifying singles of the Riviera/ITA Women's All-America Championships in Pacific Palisades, Calif. Ranked No. 46 in singles, the junior faced No. 36 Anna Lubinksy of Texas A&M, but fell 6-4, 6-3 in the first round.

Along with No. 46 ranked Kosakowski, junior Bianca Dulgheru is ranked No. 18 in singles, while the two pair up for a No. 28 doubles ranking in the ITA Preseason Rankings.

The women's tennis team is next in action this weekend at the Rice Invitational in Houston, Texas and the Cal State Fullerton Fall Intercollegiate.
