Malibu, Calif. - The Pepperdine women's tennis team continues fall action this weekend at the Cal State Fullerton Intercollegiate Tournament. The Titans play host to nine other Southern California universities.
Singles play begins on Friday morning at 8 a.m. and continues throughout the day with doubles action beginning at 2:30 p.m. Action on Saturday and Sunday begins at 9 a.m. with the singles and doubles championship matches beginning at noon and 1 p.m. on Sunday, respectively.
In singles, freshmen Tania Rice and Jill Braverman are seeded second and fourth, respectively, while the Pepperdine duo of Rice and newcomer Anete Bandere earned the top seed in doubles play. Senior Caroline Raba and sophomore Alicia Poladian will also compete in this weekend's tournament.
In singles, Bandere will face Denise Liebschner of Cal State Long Beach at 8 a.m., while Poladian will kick off action at 9:30 a.m. against Maria Martinez of Cal State Northridge. Raba, Braverman and Rice all received a first-round bye along with Pepperdine's lone doubles team which will begin play on Saturday at 1:30 p.m.
