Women's Tennis Completes Fall Tournament Action This Weekend

Malibu, Calif. - Members of the Pepperdine women's tennis team will conclude action this fall with two tournaments over the weekend. Alicia Poladian and Vanessa Dunlap will compete at the San Diego State Tournament, while Sylvia Kosakowski, Tania Rice and Jill Braverman will play in the Thunderbird Tournament hosted by Arizona State.

Kosakowski, Rice and Braverman will join players from California, Michigan, Kansas State and Purdue at Arizona State. Action will kick off at 8:30 a.m. Friday with the first round of doubles followed with the top half/first round of main draw singles at 9:30 a.m. with the bottom half/first round singles main draw slated for 12:30 p.m. Kosakowski and Braverman are set to compete in doubles along with singles.

At San Diego State, Dunlap will face Yuki Hagiwara of San Diego State, while Poladian will go up against Saint Mary's Caitlin Aloia. The two pair up for doubles in a round-robin format and will face Hagiwara (SDSU) and Aloia (SMU) in the first of three doubles matches. Play gets underway at 9 a.m. each day with doubles matches. Singles matches will begin after the conclusion of doubles.
