The Bobcats would fight off all USD runs and took their biggest lead at 26-19. After USD took back one point, OU would take USD to game point at 29-21. The Toreros then got hot and scored the next five points to gain some momentum, but Ohio scored the match winner on a kill by Herman to take the early advantage.

The Toreros would carry that momentum into the second game as they jumped out to a 7-1 lead thanks in large part to Carlson and Dawson scoring the first four points of the game for USD. The Toreros then went into cruise mode as they built a 16-11 advantage. However, the Bobcats clawed their way back into the match and knotted the score at 20-20. USD then dug in and took a two point lead on a Carlson kill and a Wiskar solo block. San Diego then cruised the rest of the way.

In the third game, the Toreros and Bobcats battled back and fourth with neither team taking a lead bigger then three, but once the Bobcats tied the core at 24-24, Wiskar and Carlson again led the way as Wiskar recorded her second solo block of the night and Carlson followed with a devastating kill to give USD a lead they would not look back on.

In the fourth and final game, USD and Ohio were engaged in a tough battle, but in the end USD proved to be to strong for the Bobcats to overcome, thus lifting the Toreros to victory.

The Toreros will return to the court on Saturday at 10 a.m. as they continue play in the USD Invitational against Brown University. The Toreros will then conclude play in the Tournament on Saturday night as they host No. 11 Wisconsin in a 7 p.m. match at the Jenny Craig Pavilion.
