USF Volleyball Hires Director of Operations

June 7, 2006

USF head volleyball coach Jeff Nelson announced the hiring of Hannah Crutcher as Director of Operations for the 2006 season.

"I am pleased to announce the appointment of Hannah to this newly created position," commented Nelson. "The expansion of our staff underscores the increasing recognition and support the volleyball program is receiving from the university and our fans."

Prior to joining the volleyball staff, Crutcher was an assistant in USF's Sports Information Department where she authored "Legends of the Hilltop," a book honoring the best teams, coaches and athletes in USF history. The book was created in conjunction with USF's 150th Anniversary celebration. Crutcher also participated in production of other sports-related announcements and projects.

As a member of Nelson's staff, Crutcher will be responsible for development of community outreach programs, the program's 30th anniversary celebration as well as other special events and projects that honor the team and its supporters, fans and alumni.

A graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Crutcher earned her MBA at Fordham University and her MA in Sport and Fitness Management at USF. Prior to her arrival on the hilltop, Crutcher was a corporate communications executive specializing in investor relations.
