(San Francisco) - USF Volleyball hosted a national level event this week at War Memorial Gym when the USA Volleyball High Performance Camp invaded the Hilltop for five days of intense training. San Francisco was chosen as one of just three national sites for the elite camps bringing the top prep players in the country to compete and improve their skills.
It is the second straight season Dons volleyball has been chosen as a training host site.
USF head coach Jeff Nelson hosted the event, while assistant coaches Steve Hendricks and Jackie Bernardin assisted as clinicians during the camp, which was a learning experience for all in attendance.
"It is a great opportunity for our program to host such a high level event featuring outstanding athletes," Nelson said. "I am really excited about the opportunities to welcome such a talented group to San Francisco and for the chance my staff and I had to work with exciting young players."
