SAN BRUNO, Calif. --- Two West Coast Conference women's volleyball matches will be aired nationally on ESPNU this season along with 14 other televised matches on BYUtv and the Longhorn Network. The two ESPNU matches will feature conference matchups between Pepperdine and Loyola Marymount and Saint Mary's and San Diego, both of which will take place in October.
Loyola Marymount's home match against crosstown rival Pepperdine is set for Wednesday, October 5 at 6:00 PM PT and is part of ESPN's Wednesday Night Women's Volleyball Package. The matchup will feature the first place team in the WCC preseason coaches poll, Pepperdine, and an LMU team looking to come back from a fourth place finish last season.
The second WCC match featured on ESPNU will be San Diego's home match against Saint Mary's on Wednesday, October 26 at 7:00 PM PT. San Diego took home the title last season and was the only ranked team from the WCC in the AVCA preseason poll, while Saint Mary's (which is receiving votes in the AVCA poll) was chosen to be this year's runner-up team for the second straight season.
In addition to the two nationally televised games on ESPNU, BYUtv will also televise 12 BYU women's volleyball matches, eight of which will be against conference opponents. Pepperdine and Santa Clara will be taking on Texas this season, and both of those non-conference matches will be available on the Longhorn Network.
