No. 19 San Diego Women's Volleyball Still Undefeated

QUICK HITS

  • San Diego moved up to the No. 19 spot in the AVCA poll, as of September 5, 2011. The Toreros are still undefeated and claimed the championship of the self-hosted USD Tournament this past weekend. Katie Hoekman was named MVP of the tournament, while teammates Amber Tatsch and Chloe Ferrari were named to the All-Tournament Team. Hear from Tournament MVP Katie Hoekman here !

  • BYU currently rides a five-match winning streak after stringing together three more wins this past weekend to take first at the Varney's Invite in Manhattan, Kansas. Tournament MVP Jennifer Hamson led the Cougars with 50 kills on the week, bringing her season record to 104 kills with a .335 clip along with 53 digs.

  • Despite a slow start to their season, the Dons have picked things up with three solid wins at home to bring their record to an even 3-3 and the USF Asics/Powerade Challenge Title. Sophomore setter Joan Caloiaro was named Tournament MVP. Watch the recap here !
