SAN BRUNO, Calif. - The West Coast Conference has named its Volleyball Player of the Week for September 22, 2014.
WEST COAST CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE WEEK - HANNAH TEDROW, JR., S - LOYOLA MARYMOUNT
Junior setter Hannah Tedrow helped guide LMU to a 3-0 week and the 2014 Washington State Cougar Challenge Championship. The Lions defeated Portland State, Idaho and Washington State to capture the title, with Tedrow being named MVP of the Tournament at the conclusion of play. Over the three matches, Tedrow collected 119 assists (11.90 per set) while managing a pair of aces and 31 digs (3.10 per set). The native of Foothill Ranch, Calif. also added two block solos and three block assists while setting the attack to a .296 hitting percentage.
Tedrow managed 30-plus assists in all three matches, including 49 in the championship match against WSU. She managed a double-double against Portland State (36 assists and 13 digs), and fell a dig short of a double-double in both of the other matches. The Lions are now 12-0 on the year, the best start to a season in program history.
