SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The University of San Diego women's volleyball team has returned to the nation's elite as they have been ranked No. 25 in the latest CSTV/AVCA top-25 poll.
USD, who had this past week off, is off to a 10-4 start in the 2006 season and is currently prepping for the start of the West Coast Conference portion of the schedule this week. USD will travel to the Bay Area for a pair of matches with the University of San Francisco and Saint Mary's College. USD will open play on Thursday against USF with a 7 p.m. match at War Memorial Gym, and will conclude the road swing with a 1 p.m. match on Saturday against the Gaels of Saint Mary's.
USD will not return to the friendly confines of the Jenny Craig Pavilion until Oct. 5 when they play host to Pepperdine University in a 7 p.m. match. USD will follow that with a 1 p.m. match against Loyola Marymount University on Saturday Oct. 7.
