Pepperdine's Kim Hill Named WCC Women's Volleyball Player of the Week

SAN BRUNO, Calif. --- The West Coast Conference has announced its women's volleyball Player of the Week award-winner for September 26, 2011.

KIM HILL, PEPPERDINE, SENIOR
Opposite side hitter Kim Hill became Pepperdine's 15th member of the program's 1,000 kills club on Thursday, Sept. 22 at Portland in front of her hometown crowd. She paced the Waves with 17 kills to help erase a two set deficit and defeat the Pilots in five. Defensively, she got the job done as well with a tied-for-career-best 15 digs. She followed that up with a stellar performance at Gonzaga, pegging down 16 kills earned on a .484 hitting percentage. In nine sets and 74 attempts, the senior fired just six miscues to finish the week with a .365 clip. With 33 kills in two matches last week, Hill has is now tied for 13th all-time at Pepperdine with 1,023 kills.
