SAN BRUNO, Calif. -- The West Coast Conference has named its Volleyball Player of the Month for September 2013.

CHLOE FERRARI, SAN DIEGO, SR., MIDDLE HITTER
Senior middle hitter Chloe Ferrari helped lead the San Diego women's volleyball team to one of the most impressive months in program history, as USD posted a 9-3 overall record. Ferrari fueled the Toreros to an unprecedented win at No. 11 Hawaii, followed by three consecutive wins over ranked teams in the month, highlighted by a 3-1 upset win over the No. 1 team in the nation USC in their home-opener. With that win, the Toreros jumped up to a No. 2 national ranking, marking the highest ranking by any USD team in the Division I era.
Ferrari paced the team's offense in September with 122 kills, while hitting for a .422 clip, and she led the team's blocking effort with 37 total blocks. Ferrari was twice named WCC Player of the week and took home MVP honors of the USD Tournament. For the month, Ferrari found herself with double-digit kills in six matches and hitting over .400 in eight of those matches. She also recorded a season-high seven blocks twice and tied a career-high with 21 kills in the win over No. 1 USC.
