Women's Volleyball Heads to UC Santa Barbara

Malibu, Calif. - The Pepperdine women's volleyball team will take a one-match break from West Coast Conference (WCC) play Tuesday night as it travels north to Santa Barbara for a 7 p.m. (PDT) first serve against the Gauchos at The Thunderdome.

Pepperdine (6-8) is 5-5 in its last 10 matches after dropping a pair of conference road matches last weekend. Senior Sophia Milo (Portland, Ore.) leads the Waves in hitting with 180 kills on .380 hitting. Freshman Kayla Walker (Kaysville, Utah) has started to emerge as a force for Pepperdine. The rookie recorded the first double-double of her career with 14 kills and 15 digs against San Diego.

The Waves will return to league play on Thursday when they host San Francisco at 7 p.m. in Firestone Fieldhouse. The two-match home stand will conclude Saturday at 1 p.m. against Saint Mary's.
