Toreros to Auction Off Dig for the Cure Volleyballs

SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The University of San Diego women's volleyball team will be participating in the "Dig For the Cure" initiative to help raise money for Brest Cancer research by the Susan G. Komen foundation. ThisSaturday's match against Gonzaga University is the designated match for USDto help raise money.

In order to help raise money, USD will be auctioning off the three pink andwhite Molten volleyballs that will be used in the match. Following thematch, the team will autograph each ball and the team will in turn send themthe three highest bidders. 100% of the proceeds will go to the Susan G.Komen foundation as part of our participation in Dig for the Cure.

Bidders can e-mail assistant coach Stephanie Moreno(stephaniemoreno@sandiego.edu) with their bids. Once a bid is in, thosebidding will be added to a database so coach Moreno can send out a masse-mail as new bids comes in. The auction will end on Saturday, October 20that 10:00 a.m. In your bids, the USD volleyball program would like you toinclude a number you can be contacted at, your bid amount and your address.Those who wish to attend the volleyball match, can pick the winning balls atthe conclusion of the match, otherwise USD will mail out the volleyballs onMonday morning.
