Preview: Both Pepperdine and Santa Clara head into this conference match as part of a three-way tie for first place in the West Coast Conference with a record of 4-1.
Pepperdine is 12-5 overall and played a close match against #17 San Diego at home last Thursday (Oct. 11), but the Toreros pulled out each game in a 30-28, 30-27, 30-26 win. The Waves rebounded to win their first five-game match of the year, 30-24, 21-30, 30-20, 28-30, 15-11, over San Francisco at home on Saturday (Oct. 13).
