San Diego's Chloe Ferrari Named WCC Player of the Week

SAN BRUNO, Calif. – The West Coast Conference has named its Volleyball Player of the Week for November 11, 2013.

WEST COAST CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – CHLOE FERRARI, SR., MH, SAN DIEGO
San Diego senior middle hitter Chloe Ferrari is the West Coast Conference Volleyball Player of the Week. The WCC Player of the Month for October, Ferrari helped USD to a 2-0 weekend and helped the Toreros into a tie for first place in the WCC standings. Ferrari led the team’s offense with 37 kills, while hitting .414 clip, and tallied 10 total blocks with two service aces and six digs.

Ferrari began the week leading USD to a 3-1 road win at Santa Clara, recording 15 kills, while hitting .462 with six blocks. She then followed with a career-high 22 kills, on a career-best 44 swings, while hitting .386, and recording four blocks in a 3-2 come-from-behind road win at San Francisco. The win against the Dons extended USD’s winning streak to a season-high 12. Also nominated: Kathleen Luft, Loyola Marymount; Kelley Larsen, Pepperdine
