MALIBU, Calif. - The 2006 regular season will come to a close this week as the Pepperdine women's volleyball team will travel to No. 6 UCLA Monday before hosting Dayton Wednesday night. First serve against the Bruins is slated for 7 p.m. PT, while the home finale against the Flyers is set for 5 p.m.
Pepperdine (15-10) has won seven straight matches after sweeping cross-town rival Loyola Marymount last week in the West Coast Conference (WCC) finale for both teams. The Waves went a perfect 7-0 in home conference matches, dropping just one game along the way.
The Waves and Bruins have put on a show for fans the past two seasons with both matches going five games after the home teams took a 2-0 lead. Pepperdine is 3-1 in the last four meeting against UCLA and will be facing Dayton for the first time.
Pepperdine is looking to add to its postseason resume before the NCAA Selection Show airs live on ESPNews Sun., Nov. 26, from 12-1 p.m. PT.
