Volleyball Garners All-Conference Accolades

Moraga, CA - Four members of the Saint Mary's volleyball team were awarded with All-West Coast Conference honors for their efforts during the 2006 season. Seniors Mandy Bible and Christina Kirk were named to the All-WCC First Team. Junior Missie Stidham was named Honorable Mention and freshman Megan Burton was named to the All-Freshman Team.

Mandy Bible earned her third straight All-WCC First Team honor after an impressive senior season. Bible was fifth in the conference in assists with 1099 and fourth in assists per game with an average of 10.57. Bible currently owns the school record in assists with 5362. Bible was sixth in the WCC in service aces with 35. Bible was tied for fifth in the conference along with teammate Kirk for blocks with an average of 1.16 per game. She totaled 110 on the year. Bible was tenth in the conference in double-doubles recording 10 on the year.

Christina Kirk was named to her second straight All-WCC First Team.


Christina Kirk earned her second straight All-WCC First Team after a solid senior season. Kirk was eight in the conference in hitting percentage with a mark of .289. She was twelfth in the conference with 3.40 kills per game with a total of 316 kills. Kirk was tied for fifth in the conference along with teammate Bible for blocks with an average of 1.16 per game. She totaled 108 on the year. She was fourth in conference play in blocks with 57. Kirk notched four double-doubles on the season

Junior Missie Stidham earned a third straight All-Conference honor.


Junior Missie Stidham was named All-WCC Honorable Mention. This marks the third straight year that Stidham has receive conference honors. She was ninth in the conference in kills per game with 3.36 on 321 total kills. Stidham was eleventh in conference play in kills with 185. She was twelfth in conference in digs per game with 2.98 on a total of 152. Stidham notched eight double-doubles on the year.

Megan Burton was named to the WCC All-Freshman team.


Megan Burton was named to the All-Freshman Team. Burton was tenth in the conference in blocks per game with 1.02 on 93 total blocks. She was 15th in hitting percentage with .258. She was seventh in conference play in blocks per game with an average of 1.22 on a total of 67 blocks.
