MALIBU, Calif. - Pepperdine freshman setter Kiah Fiers was selected as the West Coast Conference (WCC) volleyball co-Player of the Month for games played during the month of November announced by the league office Wednesday morning. She was joined by San Diego's Christie Dawson.
Fiers set Pepperdine to a 6-1 record during the month of November, including a 5-0 mark in league games and a 4-0 record in home matches.
The Palos Verdes Estates, Calif. native averaged 11.86 assists, 1.79 kills and 2.55 digs per game during the month. She picked up the first triple-double of her career in a five-game victory over Dayton in the season finale with 10 kills, 61 assists and 13 digs.
Fiers was selected as the conference Freshman of the Year, All-WCC honorable mention and was named to the all-freshman team this season.
The Waves ended the 2006 season in the NCAA Championship with a 16-12 overall record and second place league finish with an 11-3 record in WCC play.
