San Diego's Ali Troost Earns AVCA All-American Honorable Mention Honors

SAN DIEGO, Calif. - Senior right side Ali Troost of the University of San Diego women's volleyball team has earned AVCA All-American Honorable Mention honors. This marks the second consecutive season in which Troost earned All-American Honors, as she was a third-team selection a year ago.

Troost, the 2010 WCC Player of the Year, led the conference in kills per set (4.22) and ranked 22nd in the nation in kills with 384 this season. She also owned one of the top hitting percentages in the WCC with a .337 clip. Named the WCC Player of the Week five times this season, Troost was a pivotal part of San Diego's 13-1 record that brought the Toreros their seventh WCC Championship in program history. Overall, Troost led the Toreros in kills with 412 (4.20 kps), hit for a .322 clip and recorded 234 digs, while helping lead USD into the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
