SAN BRUNO, Calif. – The West Coast Conference has named its Volleyball Player of the Week for October 19, 2015.
WEST COAST CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – HANNAH TEDROW, SR., S – LOYOLA MARYMOUNT
Senior setter Hannah Tedrow helped guide the Lions to a 2-0 week that included victories over San Francisco and Santa Clara. The Lions earned a sweep over the Dons on Thursday before coming back from a 2-0 deficit to knock off the Broncos in five on Saturday afternoon.
Tedrow averaged 14.62 assists per set in the two matches, registering 40 in the win against USF before posting 77 in the victory over Santa Clara. The 77 assists are tied for sixth-most in LMU history for a single match, and the most since K.C. Walsh had 77 against San Jose State on September 17, 2005.
The Lions hit .359 as a team last week receiving sets from Tedrow, including hitting .387 against USF and .346 vs. the Broncos. In addition to setting the attack, the native of Foothill Ranch, Calif. also managed six block assists, including four in the win over Santa Clara.
