SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Three West Coast Conference men’s soccer alumni have made their MLS debuts during the 2015 campaign. San Diego’s Connor Brandt, the 2014 WCC Player of the Year, San Francisco’s Miguel Aguilar and David Romney are the latest in a long line of conference alumni to compete for MLS sides.
Brandt made his debut May 25 for NYC FC against Real Salt Lake, while Aguilar took the MLS pitch for the first time for DC United in a March 7 match against Montreal. Both Brandt and Aguilar were selected in the 2015 MLS SuperDraft.
Romney made history as the first member of the LA Galaxy II team to sign with the parent club and appeared for Galaxy in a friendly against FC Barcelona and made his official MLS debut July 25 with a start against Houston. Romney
Aguilar has appeared in 16 matches with four starting assignments for DC United.
