Three WCC Teams In NSCAA Preseason Top 25

Full NSCAA Preseason Poll

SAN BRUNO, Calif. - For the 10th time in 20 years, at least three West Coast Conference women's soccer programs have earned a preseason ranking from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) - including a first-time preseason poll appearance by Loyola Marymount.

Defending WCC Champion BYU leads the way at No. 16 to make the fourth consecutive preseason appearance by the Cougars. Another perennial power in Santa Clara comes in at No. 21 while the Lions are ranked No. 25 to begin the season. All three teams advanced to the 2015 postseason with BYU and Santa Clara making it to the second round and LMU advancing to the Round of 16.

Pepperdine is also receiving votes in the national poll. The Waves are two seasons removed from an NCAA Round of 16 appearance as well, having won two games in the 2014 postseason.

The regular season begins Friday, August 12. Conference play begins Thursday, Sept. 29
