WCC Announces 2017 Softball All-Academic Team

SAN BRUNO, Calif. – The West Coast Conference announced its 2016-17 Softball All-Academic Team. This season, seven honorees turned in a GPA of 3.5 or higher.

Santa Clara led the way with four student-athletes represented on the team, followed by Loyola Marymount and San Diego with three and Brigham Young, Pacific and Saint Mary’s with two each to round out the 16 spots on the All-Academic Team.

Multi-year recipients for academic achievement include Pacific’s Molly Bourne, Saint Mary’s Katie Moss, San Diego’s Olivia Sandusky and Santa Clara’s Amanda Delfino and McCall James. .

At the conclusion of each athletic season, the WCC selects an all-academic squad for each WCC- sponsored sport. To be considered, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average, while also being a significant contributor to her team.
