Complete Louisville Slugger All-American List

SAN BRUNO, Calif. – The West Coast Conference placed two student-athletes onto the Louisville Slugger Preseason All-American list as selected by Collegiate Baseball.

Pacific senior outfield Gio Brusa and Loyola Marymount junior pitcher J.D. Busfield were both third team selections by the organization heading into the 2016 season.

Brusa hit .291 with 13 RBI, 20 runs scored and four homers for Pacific in his junior campaign, slugging .527 before a season-ending elbow strain suffered in San Diego shelved him for the remainder of the season. In his career, Brusa has hit .265 with 11 home runs in three seasons.

Busfield pitched to a 4-2 record and a 1.89 ERA over 27 appearances and 38 innings of work last year. The right-hander managed six of his 14 saves, and all four of his wins, in WCC play.
