WCC Pair Earn Men's Scholar All-Region Honors

Complete 2015 NSCAA Scholar All-West Team

SAN BRUNO, Calif. – The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) has honored a pair of WCC student-athletes as NSCAA Scholar All-West Region recipients, the organization announced this week.

Santa Clara’s Kendall McIntosh and Portland’s Hugo Rhoads both earned the scholastic honor for excellence in the classroom, commanding two of 15 spots on the All-West Region team.

KENDALL MCINTOSH, SR., GK – SANTA CLARA

McIntosh capped his senior season with his first NSCAA Scholar All-Region nod in a year that saw him earn 2015 WCC Co-Goalkeeper of the Year honors. A three-time WCC All-Academic selection, McIntosh is majoring in finance with a 3.71 grade-point average at Santa Clara.

HUGO RHOADS, SR., D – PORTLAND

Rhoads earned his first NSCAA Scholar All-Region honor after a career that saw him earn four All-WCC nods, including a first team selection this season. Rhoads is majoring in biology with a 3.30 grade-point average at Portland.
